Art has been a constant thread throughout Carol’s life. She sold her very first painting while still in high school, and during college a 10-week art program in England awakened in her the certainty that making art would always be at the heart of her identity. After graduating with a BA in Studio Art from Principia College, she spent more than a decade as a graphic designer and screen printer – but painting has always been her first love.

 

Today she focuses on watercolor and acrylics, inspired by locations she’s personally experienced. For her, it’s essential to capture the essence of a place before translating it onto canvas or paper. Her hope is that each painting carries with it a sense of peace, joy and quiet inspiration, offering viewers a chance to pause, breathe, and find serenity in the beauty of the world around us.
